On TV

Monday, 10 October 2011

Youi Car Insurance has a new ad campaign going, and a couple of the ads are set in a comic store. Comics publishing ally Black House Comics were asked to kit the store out, and you can see most of their gear all around the store--with Paul Mason's SOLDIER LEGACY being a featured part of the ad. Towards the end of the ad a rack of comics is visible, and there, front and center, is a copy of KAGEMONO: TOOTH AND CLAW

Bleeding Cool coverage is here:

And here's the actual ad spot, which is presently airing on channel 7:

Robots Reviewage

Wednesday, 08 June 2011

The Optical Sloth has given Robots Are People 2.0 a nice review:

http://www.opticalsloth.com/?p=18122

The prior review for Robots Are People, Too! #3, is here:

http://www.opticalsloth.com/?p=17063

Robots are People 2.0 is, unfortunately, sold out, but you can read the whole thing online at the Blackglass Press link. (Just click through to preview).

Robots #1 and #3 were published by Greg Vondruska, the editor, not by Blackglass Press, so we I can't offer those to you--but Greg Vondruska and Jason Franks are presently looking at bringing all of these robot stories back into print, perhaps as a single volume with some new material.

Armageddon Sydney

Wednesday, 23 February 2011

Franks will be in Sydney for Armageddon this weekend.

He will be selling copies of the Sixsmiths GN and one shot, McBlack, and the entire Kagemono catalogue--including the bran new volume, Flowers and Skulls (which is not yet available in any bricks-and-mortar shops and has never been seen in Sydney before).

Look for him in the artist's alley. There may be other surprise Blackglass guests with him.
